Western Home Decor

Western Home Decor

I have started a new series on western home decor.  I hope you can join me as I show easy and economical ways to add some western, country and rustic elements to any home.

Starting with the basics, I have put together a page covering ideas for inside and outside the home.

The next thing is to expand on the basic ideas a little more.

Since the western shower curtains that I design  have been popular, I dedicated a page to those.

If you have belt buckles that you have won at rodeos or horse shows, I have found some really neat shelves to display those on.

I have several more pages in the process of editing and moving over to my web site so you can look forward to many more of my personal picks and "how to" articles.

A Cowgirl's Work Is Never Done

A Cowgirl's Work Is Never Done

I've been putting in lot's of work on my new website so that I can bring you the best place to get some good, honest and helpful information.  Wheather you are looking to learn something, buy something or get something free, I hope that you will stop by.

Free, you ask?  Yes, I  have several pages of things that you can download and print such as original coloring pages, plastic canvas craft patterns, party banners, games and templates for cutouts. There is more of this to come also.

I am also working on making some new designs available an a variety of home decor and gift items.

Other than creating things, I find time to write a few pages on things I like and would suggest for others based on my experience.

The beautiful weather that I am enjoying in Texas allows me to sit on the porch with my laptop. Only thing is, I just ran out of coffee so .....see ya later!

A New Place To Hang My Hat

Well Friends, I do indeed have a new place to hang my hat, sit my boots and tie my horse.

I have been writing online for a few years now and have hundreds of pages on the internet but there have been many changes and closings of sites that hosted my content.  It has been very disappointing the way some of that turned out.

It has been a lot of work for myself and many of my writer friends having to move our pages to other sites or to our own web pages, but we are slowly getting it done.

I wanted to let you all know that I have created a web site of my own so I will no longer be at the mercy of writers platforms that come and go.  I am excited about how it is coming along so far.

It is a slow process of moving pages of text, photos and videos then replacing all of the links so they will direct the pages to my new site. I have much more to do, but there is already some great pages in place.

I hope you will stop by sometime at DancingCowgirlDesign.Com

Raising A Whitetail Deer

A few years ago my son brought in a baby deer that he had found. From that point on, my life was changed by the sweetest little animal that I named Tinkerbell.

I have been putting her stories and pictures to paper and sharing this wonderful experience. If you are ever in the position to rescue a wild animal, you should take a look at this story to learn what it takes to raise a deer.

She became part of the family and did everything I did, so I have turned this story into an ongoing tale of Tinkerbell at Christmas, Easter and Taking over the deer camp. There are lots of pictures and the story will be continued

UCWDC COUNTRY DANCE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS ~ DISNEY WORLD FLORIDA

UCWDC COUNTRY DANCE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS ~ DISNEY WORLD FLORIDA

This years competition is under way and sadly I had to miss it. I have been to the World Championships when they were held in Nashville, TN and had such a wonderful experience. I wrote about it in my article and my dream of making it again.

From what I am seeing on Facebook from my dancing friends, this year will be just as fun. Beside the fact that they are in the Orlando sun, they are right by Disney World and I'm sure will be squeezing in a visit in between dances.

SADDLE BAGS FOR HORSES - DOGS - BIKES AND MOTORCYCLES

Are you ready to hit the trail? Whether is a it's a hike in the woods or a ride down the highway, saddle bags are just the thing for carrying a few things you need.

I know that it's getting close to trail ride time in Texas so I featured some new and used saddle bags that will be just right for holding enough things to get you through the day.

Urban Cowboy Movie

My latest writing accomplishment was to have one of my favorite stories make it to the Top 100 on Squidoo this year.
I wrote about being an extra in the movie Urban Cowboy and all the collectibles that I have related to that. Besides myself, my grandfather and several other friends are in the movie.
The movie continues to live on as a favorite to many people. I get a kick out of the many comments I get on this story.
